THE NORTH WEST TOUR BA BE - BAN GIOC - HA GIANG - SAPA 10D9N

This tour will take you to some of the most incredible sites in the north of Vietnam. This is a wild and beautiful region of limestone peaks, black granite needles (the locals call them “staone forests”), vertiginous canyons and limitless panoramas.
You will also discover the culture of the local Black H’mong.

  • Day 01 : Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Ba Be lake (L, D)

    7h00: Pick-up from Hotel - in Hanoi old Quarter to Ba Be Lake.
    Arrival Ba Be at 2p.m.
    Get on Boat for a visit to Ba Be Lake included Ao Tien and Kayaking or swim in the fresh water, the most special activity in Ba Be Lake. Trek to Pac Ngoi Village of Tay people (1kms).
    Check in Ba Be Lake homestay. O/N at hotel in Ba Be Lake.

  • Day 02 : Ba Be – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang (B, L, D)

    Wake up early to visit the local market to see how the local people trading. After the breakfast at homestay, driver to Ban Gioc, visit the waterfall. On this day you’ll take scenic in insightful day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall on the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The drive there offers unique landscapes, limestone kart formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way, you’ll see Tay, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Heading back to Cao Bang.
    Return to Cao Bang for overnight.

     

  • Day 03 : Cao Bang – Mèo Vạc – Đồng Văn (B, L, D)

    After breakfast, our driver will take you to Ha Giang.
    The scenery is spectacular and the road runs along the sides of the mountains on the way.
    You will visit the Meo Vac and join the local Lo Lo, White H’mong, Tay people in their daily local market. You’ll continue your journey onto the nearby village of the Lo Lo minority.

  • Day 04 : Nho Que River – Ma Pi Leng - Hà Giang (B, L, D)

    Have breakfast at hotel and check out.
    Continue to explore Karst Plateau Geo-park with deep green Nho Que River and the most dangerous mountain-pass Ma Pi Leng.
    Stop for the Vuong’s Palace to know more about the life-time of the H’Mong people and the King Vuong Chi Sinh.


    Visit to the sewing handicraft village of H’Mong people.

  • Day 05 : Ha Giang – Hoang Su Phi (B, L, D)

    Have breakfast at hotel.
    Stop at Quan Ba Fairy Bosom mount – the symbol of Quan Ba tourism. Continue to visit some villages and local markets of the Pa Then, Tay people in the northern top of Vietnam.
    Then got driver to Hoang Su Phi and Have lunch on the way.
    Have dinner and homestay at Hoang Su Phi.

  • Day 06 : Hoang Su Phi – Bac Ha (B, L, D)

    Our driver takes you to Bac Ha town – which you visit a big market filled with many different hill-tribe peoples. This is the most colourful market in North
    Vietnam (only at the Sunday).


    Up on arrival, our guide take you for walk to Thai Giang Pho Village of the flower H’mong and the Nung, visiting one school, and trekking by the side of the the highest mountain in BacHa through the beautiful plumb gardens before another visit to the palace of the H’mong King that built in 1921, visit Hoang A Tuong Place.

  • Day 07 : Bac Ha Town – Sapa – Fansipan (B)

    After breakfast, our driver will transfer to Sapa town.
    Transfer to Fansipan Cable Station for an amazing trip to reach the Indochina Roof, 3143m above the sea level: Starting by cable car and step up to the Peak, enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful landscapes from the high.
    Back to the hotel.

  • Day 08 : Sapa – Ma Tra – Ta Phin by trekking (B/L)

    We leave Sa Pa town, trekking to Suoi Ho village to see tea plantations and cardamom gardens. Follow the buffalo trails to visit the hospitable villages of the Black Hmong minority people in Ma Tra. After passing a school and scenic views enroute, a picnic lunch will be served. After lunch we continue our trek to Ta Phin village to visit Red Dao people and handicraft shops. In the afternoon we will reach the road where your driver is waiting to transport you back to Sapa.

  • Day 09 : Sapa – Love waterfall - Muong Hoa Valley trekking (B/L)

    Have breakfast at hotel.
    A 40 minute drive takes you to Tram Ton Pass at the height of 2047 meters above sea level (the highest pass in Vietnam) where great views are offered of the surrounding mountains and lush forests of the Hoang Lien National Park. From there you will trek 30 minutes through forest. Along the way you have many chances to see wild flowers. Trekking along the stream you will arrive the Love Waterfall . It is the best place for relax in Sa Pa then return Tram Ton and drive back to Sa Pa.
    In the afternoon you will visit Muong Hoa valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in northwest Viet Nam. Descending into the valley by foot you will see the largest terraced rice paddy in the Sa Pa area (If you visit the valley between May and October, there is a chance to experience and observe how the locals plant and harvest rice). The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of the Zay minority, providing the opportunity to see the different traditions and costumes of the two ethnic minority groups. Return to
    Sa Pa by car.

  • Day 10 : Sapa – Hanoi (B)

    Free until you are picked up and transfer back to Hanoi around 5,5-6 hours driving. End of services at your hotel in Hanoi.
