Day 1: Ho Chi Minh arrival

Warmly welcome you to Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. Our car transfers you to your hotel for checking in. Free and easy. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 2, 3: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong delta (B/L)

This is the time the atmosphere of Tet begins spread around Vietnam, from the city to countryside. Today, you will head to Mekong delta to discover the activities of local people here preparing goods for Tet. You will get on a hand-rowed sampan, boat along canals to visit coconut factory, taste some seasonal fruits. The highlight of Mekong delta is floating markets where you can see people do their business on the river and understand the life on the water interface. During the Tet time, floating markets are more colorful, thanks to many boats of fruits and flowers. Cai Rang market is the one we recommend you. Stay one night in Can Tho.


Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi tunnels – Hoi An (B/L)
As one activity besides the main purpose of this tour, we visit incredible Cu Chi tunnels, discover the famous place and know more about the life in the war.
Back to Ho Chi Minh city for lunch then drive to Tan Son Nhat airport for the flight to Danang. Upon the arrival, our car transfer your to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An – Lantern making class (B)

Hoi An is one of the most traditional town in Vietnam with unique cultures and lifestyles. Tet is always the most bustling time in year, local people try their best to make a lot of beautiful lanterns to adapt the market during the Tet time.
Today, you have chance to join this meaningful activity, then bring your result home as a souvenir.
Free time to discover Hoi An ancient town or go shopping.

Day 6: Hoi An – Fly to Hanoi (B)
Free at leisure until our car transfer you to the airport for the flight to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi.


Day 7: Hanoi cooking class – Flower market - Hanoi suburban ancient village (B/L)
Morning, visit one of the biggest flower markets in Hanoi where you can find dozens of colorful flowers. At that time, peach is blossoming and people are exciting to prepare for Tet. Big pots of orchid, small azaleas, red and white leopards, yellow kumquats and elegance bowls of narcissus are the typical flowers of Lunar New Year in Vietnam. You could see a lot of small tulips that are a new favorite of Vietnamese people in such time. If time and traffic condition permit, we will visit Nhat Tan village which is very famous for peach and kumquat growing.
It will be a mistake if you miss the chance to discover New Year atmosphere at a beautiful suburban village, especially in an interesting day: 23th of the 12th in lunar calendar – Kitchen God day. Vietnamese people have meaningful story behind that day and as a tradition, people will buy carps to release them to the nature. Carps are considered as “transportation” to take Kitchen God to the heaven. You will have a chance together with a local family do that ceremonial. Besides, another tradition in this time of year is to prepare five-fruit tray and discover its meaning.

Another highlight of Tet holiday exploration package is to hand on experience of cooking traditional dishes served on Tet time such as Chung cake, pickled vegetable, Vietnamese pork stew, spring rolls. Have lunch with what you will have cooked.

After lunch with the host, you will cycle to Lien Mac village, a beautiful vegetables and flower growing area. This time is the most important season to flower growers. We have chance to join the farming activities and interact with local. Back to Hanoi at around 4:30pm. Overnight in Hanoi.


Day 9, 10: Hanoi – Halong – Hanoi (B/L/D)
2 days 1 night in Halong Bay is relaxation time for you in a beautiful place which is recognized as one of Seven Wonders of the World. Enjoy the breath of the sea and join some activities on the Bay like kayaking, boating, cave exploring, ect. Visit one of fishing village on the Bay and discover the life of locals before Tet.
Spend one night on board.

Day 11: Hanoi departure (B)
Free until our car transfer you to the airport for departure flight. If you wish celebrate Lunar New Year Eve in Vietnam, we always ready to assist you. Wish you health and happiness.
